This
government has abolished the American people's Civil, God-given
Constitutional rights.
Under the guise of "the enemy" (now terrorism), the rights
our founding fathers fought so hard and died for have been
eroded.
The government has been caught
spying on legal American citizens without warrants or courts.
This is contrary to the US Constitution and is an impeachable
felony.
The USA Patriot Act (which most of Congress did not read but
voted on) has eroded our Constitutional God-given rights. The
government can kidnap lawful citizens and arrest and detain them
indefinitely without trial. This is treason.
Not a single Presidential Candidate in the 2008 election
that had any chance of winning was calling for a repeal of the
USA Patriot Acts I & II. Each and every one of those
candidate who were in a voting position at the time, did vote
for it.
It is outrageous that we have settled for such low standards.
Governments in the past have used the pretext of an "enemy"
to erode the rights and liberties of it's citizens.
In the
20th century, power-mad governments have disarmed and executed
170 million lawful citizens.
For those who think "it can't happen here"
consider the following:
1. During WWII, our government sent 120,000 Japanese
nationals and Japanese Americans to housing facilities called
"War Relocation Camps". About 62% were U.S. Citizens. It wasn't
until 1988 that President Ronald Reagan officially apologized
with legislation stating that government actions were based on
"race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political
leadership." Reparations of $1.6 Billion were paid out to
surviving internees and their heirs.
2. A
December 23, 2007 New York Times article says, "A
newly declassified document shows that
J. Edgar Hoover, the longtime director of the Federal Bureau
of Investigation, had a plan to suspend habeas corpus and
imprison some 12,000 Americans he suspected of disloyalty."
3. After three years of Freedom of Information Act Requests,
the US Department of the Army released documents proving a U.S.
government plan to imprison or kill its citizens without due
process or a trial.
Annex A, section B of
Operation Garden Plot (The United States Civil
Disturbance Plan 55-2) defines tax protesters, militia
groups, religious cults, and general anti-government dissenters
as Disruptive Elements.
This calls for the deadly force to be used against any
"extremist or dissident perpetrating any and all forms of civil
disorder."
The plan provides for America's military and the National
Guard State Partnership Program to join with United Nations
personal in said operations.
This links selected U.S. National Guard units with the Defense
Ministries of "Partnership For Peace."
4. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has
built thousands of concentration camps throughout the US.
FEMA and
the US Army have ordered and stacked up millions of plastic
coffins, which a citizen was able to film on US Army
property and put on Youtube.
5. Within the last two decades we've experienced growing
militarization of American law enforcement and the growing
relationship between the military and the police.
We continue to witness Americans training with
foreign troops and learning how to impose martial law in urban
warfare training exercises.
6. National Security Presidential Directive 51 & Homeland
Security Presidential Directive 20: President Bush continues
to sign laws broadening the terms "national emergency" without
Congressional approval,
giving the
executive branch sweeping powers to declare Martial Law and
suspend the US Constitution.
7. We've witnessed the
National Guard forcing people from homes and
Confiscating Civilians Legally owned Guns in New Orleans.
